Question Body Part ID

I have a 68 chevy C10. I can't figure what the name of the body part that that is located above the kick plate and below the the inner cowl? It wraps around the vent and buts up against the kickplate. I would much rather order the part vs attempt to fabricate. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the board Eric! A picture of what you are describing would be very helpful.

Question Re: Body Part ID

I have a included a photo (I think) of the area in question. the picture was taken through the glove box. In the photo you can see the rusted area that I am looking to replace. You can see the vent below (open) and the inner cowl on the top left. Just not sure what the body part I need to order is called? It may be part of the cab?

Re: Body Part ID

I've never seen that part repoed.I'm thinking you will need parts from a donor cab.The vent drains must have been really clogged on it.

Re: Body Part ID

You may want to just find a better cab. The plenum behind all that on both sides is prob wroten all the way down. Unless you are an expert I would say cab swap for a few hundred and spend your time fixing other stuff. good luck.

Re: Body Part ID

If you can find a good cowl assembly from a doner truck then replacing the cowl will fix your problem. They are not too bad to replace (from the window posts down to the floor board seam.
