I just found this site, making me the noob.

Hey everyone, here is my 1978 c35, I am the second owner, i traded some tree work for this truck. It has a 454, sm456, and a 14 bolt ff. I have lots of questions, and plans in mind. So i will need some help....here she is, It how has chrome bumpers, and the mirrors have been repainted white. I am planning on getting some new wheels, and a paint job. One thing I am wondering is can you lower a one ton and is there anyone out there who makes a kit with out permanently altering the truck? Oh, and the running boards are off.

Re: I just found this site, making me the noob.

It really cost me about 400 bucks, when it was all said and done. The origonal owner just didn't want it anymore. It has 92k miles.

Welcome! That's a good looking truck. I love the color combo and the black trim on the side.

That's a really nice truck, I'd leave it exactly as it is and drive the hell out of it. It's only original once!

Re: I just found this site, making me the noob.

No this is how the original owner got it, I asked him a ton of questions, like didn't you haul anything in the bed, or why didn't it ever see snow, he said well, we don't camp in winter lol. He also said that he never really hauled anything much more than a cooler in the back.

Re: I just found this site, making me the noob.

I asked him if anything had ever been done to it, he said no, it worked fine how it was, his son tinkered with it a littler here and there, but never had any kind of restore done to it. I do want to get it a new paint job, probably the factory paint scheme and also repaint the frame and components all back again.
