Power steering pump brackets question - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Is there any difference on power steering pump brackets on two wheel drives and four wheel drives. I have two setups here that I believe are first gen. smallblock setups. One is cast and seems more compact, the other is cast and stamped. Just want to be sure either can be used on a k5.

May have answered my own question. I tried both types on the Blazer and they both seem to clear everything.

They both will work. The pulley location may be different between the two setups so check it out. The all cast brackets go with the cast crank pulleys.

I've seen more than a few of the steel ones crack but never a cast one. I've been told by my buddy, GM guru and long time Chevy dealer parts guy, that this was a running change made to alleviate the cracking issue.
