Master Cylinder Question...please Respond
Can I use a 73-80ish Master cylinder with a 67-72 power booster???? If not what are any problems I may have????

I don't even know if they will bolt up, or if the rod between the booster and m/c will work? Something to look at anyway.

You will want to look at the particular booster to tell. I have used
73 master cylinders on certain boosters. Jim |

Why would you want to even try when Autozone has the master cylinder you need for $11?

I have to agree with 68 Suburban....there are way too many things that can go wrong, and it'll normally result in the same thing if something does happen....bent sheet metal.

I do know that the rods are different in most boosters and masters. Some here have done the switch to newer boosters and masters but don't know about just one or the other.
