Blasted My Cab Today. (Dirty Dirty)
What a Dirty Job
![]() I did the whole cab bottom everywhere. Got it primed and I used this rust converter On the bottom Mar Hyde makes it.The stuff sprays clear and drys black. I then I top coated it with a Epoxy Primer. I used the rust converter on our Burban and it held up really good over the winter in the areas where I used it. I figure it should work even better on a truck that will never see salt. Just keeping you guys up to date on the progress. Later Mario

I know where you are coming from. I did mine on the
last restoration. After fighting rust with sandpaper and wire brushes for years, it is still a miricle to see that stuff disappear before my eyes. EdB |

There is a Company Called Tempo Aerospace and they make a realy cood Corrosion Shield Epoxy primer. I bought it from them direct for $150 Cdn for 3 Gallons.
The blasting sure did take a long time !

Don't tell me you were using a siphon feed blaster. I plan on doing my cab next weekend, I still havent figured out what the best stuff to use on the underside is. I figure I will paint both sides of the floor with special paint. I want it to last.

Yep it was a siphon feed blaster. I think it would have been cheeper to pay some one to blast it by the time I figure out how much gas I used driving to my buddies shop and all the sand I think that I used 7 bags.

The pressure pot is the way to go on big projects, plus I reuse my sand over and over and over.
