Lowering Help PLEASE!
This is my first post everybody...if im doin anything wrong just tell me!....I was wondering if i could use a 2-3" lowering leaf spring and combine that with a 2" rear shackles and use 3" lowering springs in the front. Would that mess up my ride at all? I plan on Just making a cruiser because almost everyone around here wants a sky high lifted truck...NOT that I have anything against them, I like them just as much. I just want to go a different route than everyone else, and stand out a little more.
Oh..and the engine is gonna be a completely stock 350 nothing special done to it if anyone wants to get technical. Last edited by ZombieRedneck66; 03-22-2011 at 09:28 PM. |

Re: Lowering Help PLEASE!
It's just a matter of money and preference on how you get the job done. I prefer to use drop spindles to gain as much as possible up front. My first choice is a 3" spindle, and cut the stock spring 1 coil to get 1.5-2" more drop.
In the rear use a lowering shackle and raise the spring hanger, or do a flip kit if you want more. I do not recommend a 3" drop spring. My experience has been that they do not ride well at all.
