Man, you just can't go wrong with stock steel wheels. I would like to request a walk around (with pics, of course) of this nice lookin' truck. How did you finish the bed? Just noticed its wood. And if you have a name brand for the bed cover that would be great! Again.....nice lookin' truck!!!

What is the bed cover off of? It looks right at home on your truck. Nice paint too! BTW I've had an all too similiar problem with LMC.

Re: Home from paint jail....been there a year
The tanks were a dealer installed option, so I don't know where they actually came from, but they are bigger than they look and the install was very professional.
The bed cover does not have a name on it, and it came with the truck when I acquired it and the previous owner got it that way too, so who knows... The bed floor is the original wood (except one piece that was under the RT side fender well and had to be replaced....this truck was set up for a over the cab type of camper...it had tie-downs, the wiring harness, and all when I got it. The bed only survived by the virtue that it was covered all of it's life (first the camper, and then the bed cover). I will try to hose off the oak pollen and give the cell phone cam a try....and get you guys some more pics and maybe some of the budding interior as well... |

a bit of free time after work
I ditched LMC and ordered some parts from Kentucky Classics...the parts came on UPS today....here is what I got done...
- New accelerator cable, and while I was under the hood decided to install the newly rebuilt carb that I had in storage...too bad that the linkage plate was wrong and wouldn't work right, so now I have to return it for the correct one...also, I can't find the hot air choke linkage piece to the carb...anyone have an extra they could part with? - install rubber bumpers for the ashtray....who knew? I saw them in the catalog and went ahead and got them...they are a PIA to install, but look good. - install rubber bumpers for the glove box - these I knew about - install new door lock knobs I also got some other new parts, but will have to wait for the balance of my order prior to using those. As for LMC's response to the cracked rubber situation...I called (for the second time) and they wanted me to email photos of the cracked rubber, so I whip out the camera and bang out some photos for them...I'll spare you guys the pain of seeing those for now....it has been 3 days since then and no response from LMC....I don't really know what I was expecting from them anyway....I don't think that they actually care.... |
