Summer is fast approaching. Just wondering who has there truck out of hibernation or is getting it out. Whats your road trip or car show plans?

As soon as I finish up my engine swap, I'm getting it registered and insured for driving purposes! No truck this cool will sit in my driveway! It must be driven! Im not very excited to get it going or anything...

My GMC is drivable now, but it is mostly used for trips to dump and Home stores. Too bad I don't have time to work that one. It has the 8 1/2' bed and is in decent shape. 350sb/th400 trans. I even have the old bias ply tires on the front. Bought that one off of ebay 6 years ago.

The Chevy C10 is my current project. Engine is tired so it is getting a complete overhaul. It will end up being a 409 (I am told) when all the machining is complete. The body work was done by a PO, and is actually in good shape for an older restoration job.
Looking forward to taking it to New Hampshire this summer.

I've had mine out a few times lately, but nothing more than quick rides around town. I'm in the process of swapping my rearend from a 3.73 with open diff to a 3.07 with posi. It may not be as much fun from light to light, but it'll sure cruise the interstates alot better.

The Grand Rod Run is next month!! Cruise-ins will be kicking in around here within the next few weeks, also.

All ready had mine out and broke down. Back on the road again thanks to the help from the good people on this board. Hope to put a few thousand miles on it before next winter.

Mine probably wont be on the road for another 2 months but my goal is to get her on the road with most of the kinks worked out for August for my 4 hour ride to Carlisle, PA All-truck Nationals. No trailer queens for me. i haveto enjoy this summer cuz this fall will be the complete tear down including paint and who knows when she'll be on the road next.

When I get the new engine in, I plan on driving the wheels off it. There's a bunch of cruise-ins, meets, and shows in the Frederick area, hopefully I'll hit some of them. I'd like to make it up to Carlisle in August, but that remains to be seen.

Mine is in an off site storage unit. Pulled it out last weekend to let the engine run a bit (pic from phone). Hadn't put the insurance on it yet, so I didn't run on the road yet. Will bring it home next weekend and start the fixes (new sound system, new carb, new wheels) and then run it often and hard.

When I bought the truck, it had 15x10 Corvette Rally's at all 4 corners. When I lowered it, I needed to go 8" up front and ended up with chrome rallys (got a "deal") but I have regretted that decision for the past 3 years. So I am going back to the painted Corvette rallys, but with 8's up front. I am keeping the chrome rallys/tires so I can swap them out, if I get the urge for something different.

Seems like when I pull mine in the garage...the sun pops out. When I pull it out and drive it to work it starts raining. Darn unpredictable Northwest weather!
