I say 4wd because they just look big and bad!

But seriously... Do you need the 4wd?

4WD on a crewcab dually will help a great deal with steering on slick pavement or mud, especially when towing.

Re: 4WD or 2WD

I vote for Alcoa classic wheels\Firestone Transforce A\T tires and a Banks turbo kit, that should wipe out your cash! Both are plentiful used.

I have wanted to do a 4x4 conversion on my 1ton and it simply is not worth the work, I have tried justifying the swap and there is just no way.

4x4 all the way! You'll love it when you go to start out on soggy ground and your rear tires start to spin.

Re: 4WD or 2WD

Everyone has a 2wd. Making it a 4wd isn't that hard.

That's the way I see it too. You don't have to use the 4x4, but when you need it, it's sure nice to have it.

Re: 4WD or 2WD

you've already said you wont lower it, so 4X4 is your only option now !
22.5 with a stanard size tire would be really cool when you do the conversion.
