Another headlight question

Ok so I may be asking the dumbest question, but whatever happened to the only dumb question is the question in asked? So please be nice to my question...

'85 type dual headlights which run vertical are "4x6" headlights, right? What are the dual headlights on '89-'91 suburban which run horizontal? I kno you an walk into the store an ask for the year, make, and model and they'll give you the bulb you need. I was just wanting to look at all of my alternatives before making any purchase...recession, the economy, etc. So help me out would ya and don't snicker too hard while you're typing in your answer.

Re: Another headlight question

Not sure offhand but it may say in the LMC catalogue.

I think the sub lights are definitely smaller and more rectangle'd.

Re: Another headlight question

Heeelllpppp somebody. Please. Yea the suburban lights are smaller, the door openings measure 4x6, but the actual bulbs are way smaller. When you look for aftermarket/ other applications besides the suburban what measurement do you use?

Re: Another headlight question

dude I read your post like 3 times and it just doesnt make sense... what do you want to do, get better lights for your 85 or 90 suburban. they are 2 different sizes and are not interchangeable. simple as that. what ever front end you have, get the bulbs for it... ?
