Spark plug wire question.

SO I bought these...
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ACCEL...ht_4382wt_1165

I know kinda overkill for my little 250.. But they were so pretty...

I wasnt aware that spark plug tops (terminal stud) have different sizes? I kinda rough fitted the boots on to see what I had and the connecter doesn't "snap in"

I also bought the HEI from skip white and now Im afraid those boots wont fit the dizzy posts either ( havent got that far yet..)

SO.. I dont wanna junk the whole set.. is there something I missed? Can I just replace ends? and what should I get.. thanks in advance guys.

Re: Spark plug wire question.

did you use dielectric grease the lubricate the ends so that they will slipon better? did you follow thier instructions and get a highend crimping tool???

haven't used those wires but my past experiences with accell wires has been poor and i'll never use accell wires again only taylor for me

Re: Spark plug wire question.

Those wires should work fine! if you have the "hold down" that snaps on the cap, use the boots with knob, otherwise use the plain ones. Start from the plugs and work back. Don't pull the wires tight. The ends can be installed without the crimper they reccomend, but it is a real PIA! Get the crimper. it does a lot of other stuff besides spark plug wires too! I think those wires will look good on a 250 and along with the HEI will make a difference!
