Tire to fender well clearence
Well my gf and I are nearing the end of her build. We just got her new 3" drop coils installed and junked the cut ones. We will be dropping the engine/trans in this weekend (hopefully fingers crossed).
With the engine/trans not installed we only have about 4" from the top of the tire to the fender well. Ive been told that the suspension will settle up to 3" once the engine/trans is dropped in. That only leaves 1 inch of travle the tires are 235/70 15s Im thinking of cutting the well and fabbing up a taller tunnel on the factory well. Anyone ever done that? Heres her build. . . all iron 454 th350 3" coils 2.5 spindles 235/70 tire which is 28" tall I will be cutting the "bump" that the bump stop sits on to give her plently of travle I just need to figure out the wheel well issue. Thank you Ryan

Re: Tire to fender well clearence
If it were me, I would run the cut springs instead. I do not care for the 3" springs at all.
