gears in my 68'
I dont have a factory manual, and I was wondering what the gear size in my 68 gmc 1/2ton w/ 327 would be. I know there are probably many different ones, but i cant find a id tag or a code anywhere on the pumpkin. Anyone know where i could find an assembly chart for the rear axle? thanks in advance

Depends on transmission. If auto, most likely 3:07, if manual, probably 3:73. 4:11's were optional as well.
If you open it up the ring gear will be stamped with the ratio, i.e. 43:14 = 3:07
