drop suggestions...PLEASE HELP

Im tryin to drop my recently purchased 72 swb fleetside as low as i can go without a cnotch. Im looking to buy a kit that has everything so a link would be great! Also am i gonna want to go w drop spindles or just springs for the front? Or both? It has factory discs in the front and factory 4 link in the rear w a 12 bolt. I only paid 650 for this truck---1 owner and its ALL ORIGINAL. so if i put 500-1000 in suspension id be comfortable w that. Please hook me up w some info so i can get this shop truck goin and i can.post pics! Thanks

Re: drop suggestions...PLEASE HELP

www.earlyclassic.com

Give them a call and explain exactly what you want to do.
6" rear drop is possible without a notch.
You want to use drop spindles, drop springs (front and rear)
Rear shock relocators, and and adjustable panhard bar to re-center the rearend after you do the drop.
GOOD quality drop shocks are a must.

Also add a sway bar up front,... if you don't already have one.
(best bang for the buck, in truck handling)

Early Classic, also referred to as ECE, is IMO the absolute best company to buy from. They specialize only in 63-72 Chevy truck chassis' and they know their stuff. Their customer service is also top notch. You may save some money from competitors, but it's not worth it. I've been on this board since 05 and haven't heard the first complaint from ECE. You won't be disappointed.

Re: drop suggestions...PLEASE HELP

I'll agree with those posted above....

it will be at the edge of your posted budget so you can also consider looking at buying the individual parts from CPP or performance online...or their ebay stores. Can probably do the kit for a few hundred less if pieced together....but again, from my experience and those on the board....you might not get the same service and might have delays on shipping, etc...if you have a set deadline to get this done...

Re: drop suggestions...PLEASE HELP

heres what your looking at with a 4-1/2" front and 6"rear drop. no cnotch required dont let them tell you have to unless you plan on putting weight in the back.not to knock on any other company's but Early Classic Enterprise was the option i went with and was very satisfied. my buddy ordered his drop spindles from "A" company on here took 1 month because they were on backorder and they did not tell him that till he called checking on the delivery got my whole kit in less than a week.

That "A" company that he is talking about is CPP!!! (I Think) They have great products and reasonable prices but I ordered a full disc brake kit including chrome upgrades just to be told 2 weeks later that 85% of the order was in backorder!!!!! Extremly dissapointed. You DONOT have to c-notch your frame to have a great looking stance!!!! This is the right forum for this question!!!!

Re: drop suggestions...PLEASE HELP

In the LMC catalog it has a complete look at different stances. To see exactly what you are looking for. take your rims and tires under consideration also. Drop spindles, front and back springs with shocks!! Ride Tech (Level 1)has a very reasonable airbag kit for $1900.00 that i'm going for without c-notching my frame..

Re: drop suggestions...PLEASE HELP

Bought some conversion rotors from POL to bring lug pattern down to a 4.75...but idk if they sent me the right ones bc the stock bearings dont fit in them which makes me wonder if the rotors will be too small for the spindles...any guesses guys?

The conversion rotors from POL that have the 5x4.75" pattern ONLY work with 63-70 drum brake spindles. (plus a spcial bracket they sell)
These will not work with your 72 disc brake spindles.
