Side windows

Having great difficulty getting the side window to go down. The sash keeps hanging in the track bar that is below the window opening. All my parts are new including the window glass. any thoughts or suggestions before I break out the BFH (big friggin hammer).... Thanks

Doors will take the most time of anything you will do on a vehicle as far as body work goes. Hammers work sometimes, not on the problem but sometimes it makes you feel better.

Is the window going down straight? or is it cocking a little when going down?
If its crooked I would pull out the upper door frame rubber and see if it gets better. leave the division bar ok and see if it goes down ok. There is a liitle adjustment in the brackets. not much. hold the window with your hand up against the front bar and feel it. You can do more with feel than sight when doing windows. If the window is still acting funny check the actual window regulator. is the original or oem. Some aftermarket ones are not too good and don't operate good. We even had them come in with the rollers on the wrong side.
DId you replace the belt line mouldings? (The sweeps) they sometimes are hard and can cause problems. You have to be patient with windows. Everyone thinks they are easy but they take time.

Re: Side windows

When the window goes up. it is wedged at the lower part of the glass and the lower glass channel. It appears that the lower channel, when the bracket is bolted to the door, is at an odd angle. the bracket came from LMC.. May have to adjust it. thanks for your responce

not sure what you mean. I would not blame LMC. I don't understand.pics help w/o seeing in person. What is the lower glass channel? I think you mean the channel inside the door on the back side?? if so thats can be adjusted to fit. No offense but nothing is a true bolt up and it all works perfect on these trucks or any other vehicles. Cars trucks or motorcycles. You have to make it work at times. post some pics cause I am confused. Windows can be tuff
