Factory Pinstriping Kits

I've searched high and low and cannot find pinstripe kits for my 1986 truck. Do they make them? If so, who? Can buy them and where?

Any help would be great.

Re: Factory Pinstriping Kits

Jason,

Looks like you are correct!

I don't have the time to do a custom pinstriping paint job on my truck. I needed some type of kit that has the curves/etc... in it so I could paint and go. Need to get the truck back on the road by May 1. It's currently sitting in filler primer stage, gettting ready for be base coat of primer/black mist to look for low spots. Hope to get the inside painted this weekend and the outside next weekend.

Because of the lack of kits, I guess I'll go with the 89-91 look where you break on the fender/door ridge and run it out to the headlights and painting the front of the fender the same color. This allows me to use straight pinstripes.

Re: Factory Pinstriping Kits

I am also interested if someone has a good solution for factory striping. Only mine is a suburban. I need to repaint the center color and would like to re-strip if there is a factory style kit out there.

Re: Factory Pinstriping Kits

you can buy the vinyl pinstrip from an autobody supply store and heat them up with a hair dryer as you make your bends with them

and buying them in a roll as to buying them in a kit, a roll will be cheeper and allow you to mess up a little

Re: Factory Pinstriping Kits

Not "factory" but a company called "Car Pretty" sell all sorts of stripe kits.
