Re: headers with a 6/7 drop?

3/4 length headers for a Malibu/Chevelle or Camaro/Firebird headers will work but might require some trimming of the frame. I have 3/4 length Chevelle headers on my RetroRod (468bbc) & used 1 5/8" Headman 3/4 length headers on my 68 (350sbc). I also had 3/4 length headers for a Camaro in there w/o issue. My buddy just bought them from me & installed them onto his 350sbc in a 72 2wd Blazer. The collector flanges are about equal to the bottom of the cab floor (they do not hang below the frame).

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.

2nd gen; but I don't think using some from the earlier years would matter.
