A lot of people on here complain about the 'drone' of dual exhaust. Something I was told, and seems to hold true, is that since each side is identical, the sound cancels itself out, and makes a buzzing noise. If you offset the mufflers by a few inches, it changes the acoustics, and gets rid of the drone...

I hate to bring up the backpressure debate again, but I'm curious, if I run dual pipes straight out the back, no x-pipe, H-pipe, etc, and no mufflers, will that hurt my performance? I have a bone stock '79 350, not much of a powerhouse to begin with, so I really dont wanna take any power away from it if I can avoid it...
