Where to buy parts
My son may be selling the front end off of this truck. And maybe the doors also. He wants a 67 front end when he bags it. He wants repo doors. It is a 69 cab. Who sells the best fenders, doors, and grills. If he has to do body work on the new parts, he might as well keep what he has. The parts he has are in great shape. I probably will post the parts for sale when he is ready. Thanks.

Re: Where to buy parts
Nice truck... I persoanlly would drop it the way it is. So it's a 69 cab with a 71-72 grille?

Re: Where to buy parts
Yes it is a 69 with 71 to 72 grill. I would drop it the way it is too. I gave the truck to my son. I am 65, and I would rather look at one, then work on one. Thanks

Re: Where to buy parts
Why does he want repo doors? There is nothing wrong with the ones on there now. They will work just fine when changing the nose to a 67. Repo parts will require some fitment, none of them are just going to "bolt right up". FYI, if you plan to post parts for sale on the message board, you will need to become a subscribing member.

Re: Where to buy parts
May as well buy some original frontend parts or an entire truck for the same cost it'd be to be repo parts and you'd have better quality lol And no fitting issues with original parts.
I like it how it is though. Very nice tuck.

Re: Where to buy parts
I agree he should keep the parts he has. All he needs is a 69 grill. I like the 69 grill better myself. Thanks a lot.

Re: Where to buy parts
If he wants to change the front end, thats one thing, but why on earth would he want repo doors. Are his doors rusted out? Of all the sheet metal that is being reproduced, the doors are the last thing I would buy unless I had no other option.

Re: Where to buy parts
My easy plan........
1.Leave the grill alone (you can't go wrong with the egg crate) 2.Bag it. 3.If your son has to have a 67-68 front. 4.Buy a second truck.
