Valve Cover Gasket Sealer
What's the best sealer to goop up valve cover gaskets with? Which gaskets work best?
I'm using stock, stamped steel; I have got a pair that were nearly straight, and I flattened the flanges till they are so close to being straight as no matter. I have lloonngg (4") hold downs and use studs with nut/washer combinations. TIA for the ideas.

Get either the Moroso or Fel-Pro reusable gaskets with the steel core. They require no sealer, and only require that the mating surfaces are clean.
Don't even bother with the sealer unless you like to torture yourself. Tach or RTV will work.
