Another header thread
So its time for me to do header fitment on my 66. I'm using the stock perches moved to the front holes, transdapt mount adapter plates. My truck manifolds are close, but they hit the perches. What is the 60-66 crew using for manifolds?
I saw some "build your own" manifold kits on speedway motors and considered that. The fab isn't a problem, but I'd like to just bolt something on, and save myself the time if possible.

Re: Another header thread
No one in the 60-66 community has headers?

Re: Another header thread
I used the doug thorley 67-72 swap headers, THY-324Y-C. I have the ECE mounts. You have to change the plug wires and oil dip stick to make them fit.

Re: Another header thread
pics of fitment? I need something similar to the stock manifolds in size/shape, but with a slightly lower profile, and without that wierd hump on the stock mani. I was thinking tbss manifolds if i can find them, but havent found any local to try.

Re: Another header thread
Here's a few pics of where I'm at. TR65 did trailblazer SS manifolds.
http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=413880 Sometimes I think this would have been a better route, b/c I don't like the alternate plug wires I had to use or that I have to swap the oil dipstick.

Re: Another header thread
thats clyde.
Structures, thanks for the pics, those look like nice gear. I'm a bit concerned about the collectors clearing the "ears" on my 4l80e.
