Re: My new project
The Coys will be her Tuesday. I pulled the motor to replace the crank, dampner, and intake gasket. I bought a set of Western multi leaf 4" drop rear springs from Performance Suspension to be used with 2" shackles for the rearend. The springs in front are stock with a full coil cut going to buy Western 3" spindles probably Tuesday. Ill get some pics when some decent improvement is made.

Re: My new project
What do you think, we got the motor back together and the oil pressure is up to 80. We replaced the crank and all the bearings. I plastigauged all the rod caps and mains and they came out in spec. I only ran it for about 15 min.never really came down. The gauge is not grounded becouse when I hit the key to run it doesnt go to 80 only after its started.

Re: My new project
No pics yet but the truck is slammed, installed the 4in. drop leafs with 2in. hanger and 2in. shackle kit. I put the shakle on the 1in. drop hole so rear would be dropped 7in. lowered it down off the stands and it set on the rubber bumpers. I then picked up the truck with the lift and removed the rubbers. Then my dad and I started installing the 3in. drop spindle, I had a birthday party to go to so I left the shop and my dad finished the spindles. Pics and measurements to come later today.

Re: My new project
I love this truck, this is the 2nd time I have owned it. This time though I am going to fix every little thing on it. I have not seen it since the spindles have been installed, should look killer. The next thing is installing so-cal speed shop gauges I bought last year for my 40 Ford truck but Im thinkin will look good in this truck.
