New 86 Suburban to my herd

well i finally found a 6.2 diesel suburban for the right price. its got under 100,000 miles on it it was in the same family since it was new. dad passed it down to his son. I just got it home today it runs like a top drives great. Do not know what im gonna do with it but replace front bumper and bug shield. I figured you suburban guys would like to see it.

she has a th400 transmission, silverado trim, all the bells and whistles 4:10 gears but has manual windows and no rear ac.

Re: New 86 Suburban to my herd

thanks i am beginning to like the copper and white color. is there any secrets to sealing that 6.2? the gm mechanic used ultra blue silicone and its leaking throughout the front cover.

i picked up a 4 inch lift with a set of used 305-70-16 coopers on 16x10 american racing bajas so it will be looking good soon. does anyone have a diesel burban? what milage are you getting with no overdrive and with overdrive?

I've got a 6.2 diesel burban, but it is far from stock so my mileage is far less than what is possible from these. I'm getting 12-15 in the city with quite a bit of morning warmup, and a heavy foot. I also have the banks turbo on mine. Need to ad I am running 1 tons with 4.56's and 37" km2's. I have a 700R4 with OD. Not unheard of to get 19-23 mpg out of one in stock form though.
