Question on Correct Windshield Rubber
In the 1960-63 model windshield rubber are you supposed to have the small bead of rubber to lock in the glass or do they make regular type rubber gaskets. I look at the one I have it I think I have the wrong one?

Re: Question on Correct Windshield Rubber
I think there are actually two different kinds. I remember pulling mine out and it had the rubber insert piece and i believe the new one i have is just solid.

Re: Question on Correct Windshield Rubber
The rubber for the Custom Cab stainless steel trim has a groove in it. The standard trim gasket should be solid with no groove. I've not seen a windshield ribber with the locking bead like the rear windows have.

Re: Question on Correct Windshield Rubber
Mine is solid , no slot for trim, and no rubber lock strip. Must be getting really close. Last pics I saw, it sure was looking great!

Re: Question on Correct Windshield Rubber
In a standard gasket there are two slots, one for the glass and one for the pinch weld on the cab. It sounds like you have the gasket for the deluxe cab. The third slot would be for the stainless trim. According to the factory shop manual only the rear window has a locking strip.
