2000 Silverado--No brake lights?

Just noticed tonight I have no brake lights. If I absolutely mash on the brake pedal, I can get them to work--but not all the time.

Sounds like a brake switch under dash? I'm pretty sure it is associated with the pedal due to situation.

Also I brought home my travel trailer last Saturday, and I couldn't get the trailer brakes to work with the pedal, had to use the trailer brake lever to activate--not sure if that is realted to my issue, but thought I would mention it.

Help?

Switch is a great possibility, I've seen a few trucks that all I needed to do was pull the bulbs out and clean up the contacts.

Is this called a stoplight switch?
