06 GM Passkey problem
My heavy half autimatically locks the doors whenever I turn the key in the ignition. Don't even half to start the truck, just turn th eignition on and it locks.
This has been a PITA for me lately, and I locked myself out the other day. Best of all, the spare key was in my work jacket, at work. I have to sort this out soon. Is there a DIY fix for this? I have heard rumors that this is a commmon problem. |

Do you have steering wheel buttons to control the Driver Information Centre?
On my 04 I can use the steering wheel control and go into user settings and change things like door locks, lights and other settings.

I have that.
But I can't change the setting. Settings are actually only "lock when in gear" and lock after the "truck is rolling". So something is out of whack here |

A quick look through an 06 owners manual and it seems you are correct that you only have 2 choices.
My 04 has different choices.
