You guys are on crack. My parents win, never!
My dad offerd to buy me a 98 civic if Id sell my truck. The car would be mine, for free. I told him nope, cant do it. My vehicle has to be fun and fast. Id rather have my 79 then a free car. My parents hate the fact Im going to get a v6 accord instead. They want me to get a 4cyl econo box. No thanks! And we'll see how ricer Im am when my 25mpg, 300hp, 260lbs/ft n/a [using stock parts] accord whoops your butt mike

Dont worry guys, I already orderd the 3 level aluminum wing with carbon fiber racing streaks, and Ill have plenty of "VTEC" "TYPE-R" and whatever other stickers I can find. Heck, with just those two alone I got 50hp extra
boataddict- my parents dont like old trucks. They really dont like two of them in their driveway every night. I dont have to sell my truck, but since I dont pay rent and I want an accord anyways Ill get rid of it for them. My 78 is my true love anyways, and its not going anywhere, EVER.

Tom, how long do you plan on living at home? I don't know how old you are, but why not spend the $$ on School or a house instead. Car payments sure can suck. Invest in your future, get the toys later.

Cool. I might be getting a Honda soon too. I wont be selling my truck though, but I will be getting a 4cyl econo box. That would be cool to have a big sticker on the back that said "Stickercharged".

Im 21 and living at home But that is going to change real soon. Ill be able to afford a newer car and moving out at the same time. Plus with the money Ill save on gas from my 2hr a day drive to work and back, Im making up the difference in payment between my truck and a new car. I have a pic of my 79, but it still has the bashed up body panels, so Im not posting it

Atleast youll have your '78 still.
I wouldnt mind having a newer v6 accord and my truck. I actually looked into getting a 4 or 6, they both are pricy. I like the new 03 models (4-door only, the 2-doors look funny). They are nice cars and even the 4cyl 5-speed auto has some good pickup. Just too much money for me right now. I need to get me another car though, old or new, just another ride. It sucks only having one vehicle. I can never take something apart and take my time putting it back together. I want to pull the engine in my truck and do all kinds of stuff, but I would have to rush it and not get done all the things I want to do. Good luck with the sale of your '79. Is the '78 even running yet? You should take the civic for free and put the money from the '79 sale into the '78. Thats what I would do if I were you. Are you selling anything from the '79 before you sale it?

You selling it with the sterio stuff in it?
So your getting rid of the payments on the '79 and getting higher payments on an accord? Have you checked out insurance yet for the newer car? Being a 21 year old male with a new car will probably be a pretty good amount of money even if you get on your parents account, unless they lie and say you dont drive it. Do you plan to get a 2 door or 4 door accord?

It will be a 99 LX 4dr v6 accord, or bust! Yes Im getting rid of the payment on the 79 and getting a higher one on a used accord. The difference in gas Ill save will make up for it. Insurence will be a little higher, but its not a new car so it wont be too bad. Remeber, we've already had two of these cars in the family
