Cleaning and Refurbishing Radiator

Any tips or tricks on refurbishing a radiator?
I am going to pressure test and clean out radiator but also want to clean and paint outside. Should I use high temperature paint? And what is best used to clean and prep for painting? Thanks.

I think what you want to paint them with is a paint specifically for radiators...something that will let the heat dissapate.....I think eastwood sells it...........whid

I took mine to a local radiator shop and had them do it. They boiled it out, pressure tested it, and painted it for 65.00. I enjoy doing things myself as well but for the money it was a no-brainer.

Mine has a leak in the finned part of radiator not the tank. Is this repairable?
