Front end swap need help
i got a 74 chevy pickup half ton 4x4, i want to remove the front clip (hood, fenders, raditor support) and replace it with a 87 blazer front clip how hard is this conversion and will every thing bolt up? any help would be helpfull

It's pretty straight forward but you'll have to cut the firewall for the rear hood hinges. Also have to change wiper arms...

ok i got the clips swapped but i only have one problem i put the new clip on in one peice and i bolted the fenders up but the raditor support doesent line up with the factory brackets. the raditor support sits about an inch back further than the brackets on my frame any ideas

Yeah ive searched and no one has any info on the raditor supports everybody just keeps telling me that the should bolt right up but still no luck ive tried moving it and ajusting it but it still wont line up ive even measured the distance from the front of the frame to the raditor support holes on both trucks and there the same but they dont line up on my truck

I think the bushings for the core support are different...did you use the newer bushings when you put the newer front end on?

yeah i used the newer bushings and tried the old ones neither ones would work but i figured something else out so i just drilled thru the raditor support and threw the frame and just bolted it in a diffrent locaton using the new bushings and a bunch of washers its not perfect but i dont see why it wouldnt work now for the fun part of wiring up the lights and cutting the holes for the hinges

it finally done three days, multiple six packs and a sledge hammer i got it done.
Anyone know if these mirrors are a stock option or are they aftermarket replacements I found them in a juck yard they were on a surburban |

they were on the 90-91 burbs and blazers im getting ready to do the opposite
