I am running a 6 inch lift with blocks in the back. I sent an E-mail for some tech advice at one of the offroad dealers and he told me to run 8 inch springs in the rear and tha six in the front due to the weight of the Blazers. I am planning on installing zero rates to center my axle up as it is not centered now. I am thinking this will be to much as I do not even run a hard top on my truck only a soft top. any advice would be appreciated, he also said to order the 52 inch spring! any insight to spring size as well?

I run a 52" SuperLift 5.5" lift spring on the back of my 72.
The front I run 4" Rancho lift spring.
I sit level with no hardtop, at first I had a bit of stinkbugging but it has setteled over the years...

So there is some truth in that pre-made springpacks are built on Pick-up weight specs, not Blazers and Balzers do have heavy butts. But 6" in front and 8" in back may be a bit much..it's gonna stinkbug like crazy esp without a hard top. the taller the lift the less it's gonna sag as they get stiffer and stiffer the higher you go.
I say 6" & 6" w/zero rate in back will be perfect!

All just my opinon..about 1.5c worth hahahaa

I have a skyjacker lift on my blazer, and it came as a 6"/8", for a blazer. I don't remember there being a huge differance in stance, with or without out the top on. It always looked pretty level to me. Now you have about 3c worth. LOL!

How wide are our springs on the blazer? I am currently working over seas and trying to order some stuff for when I get home. Thanks for the advice so far. figure the springs are original from 1972 probably would not hurt to replace them anyway! I believe I will go with the zero rates and 6 inch springs!

8" lift springs will ride like crap, go with a set of 4" springs and a shackle flip.

It'll net out the same amount of lift and you'll like it a whole lot more.

Zero rates are great but if you end up ordering a set of springs, just have the correct pin dimension built into em.

Have been talking with a vendor and that is the same thing he said, currently have blocks with the original springs. seems to have axle wrap on hard stops! all hardware is tight I just think those 29 year old springs are tired!

Who do you recomend for the springs? any dimensions I need to give or are the kit ones good enough?

I am out of the country and trying to get boxes in the Garage so I can have some relaxation Blazer style when I get home!
