65 front hubs

I can't seem to find new front inner hub seals. I even got the wrong ones from LMC. The old seal was different from any seal i've seen. Unfortunately I threw them both away thinking i would get the right ones from LMC. Anyone else ran into this problem?

Re: 65 front hubs

here is the back of the hub, the seal pressed in to the larger outer ring instead of where the bearing race pressed into

Re: 65 front hubs

Have you checked with your local auto parts supplier? I looked them up on O'Reilly's site and it shows the front seals to be National #9015S. If you don't have an O'Reilly's close by, another store should be able to cross reference that number, unless you find someone willing to look it up themselves.

Re: 65 front hubs

Ive Texarkana with the hub in hand. I keep getting a seal that fits where the bearing presses in which is not right. The inner seal hole won't fit over the spindle.

You might try part number NOS 19757 from Napa. No way to tell from a photo if it's correct or not. Unfortunately they just "upgraded" their site, so links directly to the search results no longer work.

Re: 65 front hubs

checked autozone, oreillys, and advanced auto parts all give the same specs and part no#s

Part # 9015S

Shaft Size: 2 in. (50.8 mm.)
Housing Bore: 2.561 in. (65.05 mm.)
Outside Diameter: 2.565 in. (65.15 mm.)
Width: 0.549 in. (13.94 mm.)
Material: Nitrile

might want to check your spindle diameter and hub bore sizes and compare

Re: 65 front hubs

It's been a while since I've had a seal out of one of these original hubs, but I believe the seal is supposed to fit into the same bore as the inner bearing.
