67 k10 drag link??? HELP!

so i just bought another 67 k10, well i put tie rod ends on it, and a drag link, i just got one for a 70 on up.. well it seemed to go in but i cant tighten the castle nut down enough to put a cotter key in it.. it seems to be alright and the truck will never see long distance, i searched and searched and no one has a drag link for a 67, the newer one is a 2 piece unit with a connecting peice in the middle, while the 67 one is one piece. please help!

Matt

Re: 67 k10 drag link??? HELP!

Now I'm really confused. I have a 67 K10. My drag link is wiped out, but it is a 2 piece. I found one at the local parts store, but it's $400 and in the picture it is a two peice. So what is the 67 really supposed to have? Mine is about 11.5 inches long, I have a one peice laying around, but it;s at least 18 inches long. I'm lost.

How long is the link on yours? Mine is a two peice with an adjuster sleeve. The picture of the one that autozone has is a two peice also. What the heck?

Re: 67 k10 drag link??? HELP!

Two piece came in later, 71 and up maybe??? not sure.

Big difference was the closed knuckle axle vs. the open knuckle axle.
