park/ neutral switch
Hey guys,I need help with a connector.I think it is the park neutral switch.
It has six wires.2 pinks,(light green),(dark green and white),(gray )and (black and white).they all go to the c2 connector.I know the two pinks get hooked up ignition hot.what about the other wires?can't find them in the wiring diagrams. Its for a 2003 4.8 that had a 4l60e behind it.I think.... Go to Autozones web site create an account and click on repair info at the top of the page. They have the wiring diagrams for your truck there, I just looked. I could not find the six wires you're talking about though.

Re: park/ neutral switch
I've attached some schematics. BUT... they're for 2005, the colors are the same but your PNP switch may have letters as opposed to numbers... You can verify by jumping on autozone as usmc said.
Anyway the dark green goes to C2:F11 and ultimately ties into your starter relay or ignition key (I'm not exactly for sure). This should be tied in to only allow the engine to start in park or neutral the gray goes to C2:A11 and I believe is your trailer back up line for the trailer connector. the light green ultimately ties into the stop lamp switch. I mean I really don't know what's going on here but I think it all has to do with the back up lamp circuit. the blk/wht goes inside the harness and ties into a ground bundle and ultimately goes to the single ground circuit which goes to C2:B7 I hope I've helped out a little. If you can't tell I haven't actually gotten this far so that's why I'm not 100% positive. Did you remove the transmission range switch signal circuits (the A, B, C and P)?

Re: park/ neutral switch
Thanks for the wiring diagrams.I'm confused as to what to do with wires.
I know to hook pink to keyed 12 volts but what the others that went to fuse box go to I have no idea. Posted via Mobile Device |
