Hood hinge problem
Hey guys I've got a 70 swb fleet with a sbc and air. The problem im having is when I put the ac box on I don't know if my blower motor will fit because there is very little clearance between where it goes and the hood hinges. Do people have problems out of repro hood hinges?

Re: Hood hinge problem
I always had to remove the hood hinge to replace the blower motor on a factory A/C truck. Scripe around the bolts with a awl before removing the hinge so you know where the hood alignment was. I use 3 big folded beach towels between the hood & cowl/fender to prevent paint damage. You also need somthing to hold the front of the hood up on the right side...The left hood hinge by itself will not hold the hood open.

Re: Hood hinge problem
I have replacement hood hinges and ac, the fit is tight but it fits. I have never removed the blower though.
