Re: Spring green paint. rare?

Wow... haven't been here in a while! I actually sold this truck a few months ago... I hated to do it, but didn't get to drive it much. So now it's living in Hawaii.

However, I do still have this picture....

Re: Spring green paint. rare?

In my 1975 GMC Color and Trim book, this same color code is called Medium Lime. Same color, just different names between Chevy and GMC.

Re: Spring green paint. rare?

OK correction
I have seen it listed as Killarney Green and "bright green" but it is RPO code 568 it is a different color than in 75-76 its darker...the paint books reference it to code 46 on cars..
"pontiac lime" i think its a different color... I have an unmolested panel that i will use to color latch it...and the white inset is code 12 not code 11...I stand corrected.... see the attached below I found this on Flea Bay a couple yrs back smae colors as mine but mine is avocado inside...the SPID only says special 2 tone paint.....
the last one is mine as I found it 2 yrs ago

Trailer Park Boys is probably the funniest show I've ever seen. My favorite. Still have to see the most recent movie.

Anyways how many greens were there in 75? I had a 75 that was originally called "glenwood green". I still have the SPID from that truck for some reason.

Re: Spring green paint. rare?

Sorry to dig up this old thread, but i have been looking at greens for my project truck for a while. I don't want anything too dark or forest green, but not extreme lime green either. The truck that the OP posted is about what I am looking for. Can anyone else confirm that the color on that truck is RPO code 568? My father looked that code up online in a cross-referencing PPG catalog and it looked darker on the photocopied image than the actual truck looks like.

Re: Spring green paint. rare?

No - the RPO code is 41L ("Spring Green"), lower right of the SPID shown in post 28.

41 is the paint code; L means "lower" or primary color in this case.

Re: Spring green paint. rare?

Also, Like I said before, color code 41 on a GMC would be called Medium Lime in 1975.

This is from a GM color and trim book. Don't get too carried away with the color reproduction, scanners are notoriously bad for it...
