Wow, my trucks manual - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

So I was on my way to work today and something fell out from underneath my dash. Low and behold it was the original manual to my truck- wrapped in a plastic bag in nearly perfect condition. It was an Interesting surprise. I showed iit to everyone at work, kind of proud of this find.

I wonder why someone had stuffed it way up in the dash. Oh, well- pretty cool that it fell out.

gota love that, isnt it funny how we think stuff like that is cool. can you imagine someone getting excited about a 1998 ram truck owners manual?

:p Thats funny. Yeah, a couple of my buddies thought it was cool, but a couple of the people kind of looked at me like I'm crazy for walking in the door with a big grin on my face and a 32 year old book in my hand.

I had the same thrill with my truck;
I couldn't get the stupid glove box to open when I first got it; the push button was broken and when I finally got it open , low and behold the original Owners Manual was in there along with the metal Protect-o-plate from the original dealer with the first owners name stamped on it; VIN # and all;
I thought that was pretty cool, figured the glove box would be empty

I've just started working on mine. Was stoked to see the owner's manual. I got a big kick where it states that the manual is part of the vehicle and to be included in any sale of the vehicle. Spent an hour today just looking throught the manual. also included was receipts from state inspections, and tires bought from JC Penny's. Wow, wish someone had taken that much care of rocker panels, floor, rear quarter panel......hahahaha
