Rear tire width????

This may have been beaten to death but...does anyone know the max section width tire that can be run on the back of a 71 fleetside longbed?

I'm running 295/50/15 on 15x10 wheels. I measured them against the 315/35/17s on a 17x9 wheels on my car and the truck tire was actually wider than the ones on my car at the widest point, so you could probably run the 315s.

I don't know the backspacing on my wheels, but they are basically flush with the side of the bed (won't go inside the fenderwell) but with a little more backspacing they might (I have about an inch clearance before I hit the bed floor/wheel wells)

Ack,

do you know the width in inches? I am looking at 13-14" in width...curious if anyone has/or is running a tire that wide without rub or minitub.
