Broken heart

Well guys,

This is adios from me. My baby just rolled down the road with a new owner at the wheel. It was real hard watching it go but times being as they are, ya gotta do what ya gotta do.

I've got to say that this board, the staff and members are the greatest. The help and tips have been outstanding.

I'll be back from time to time to check up on you all.

In the mean time...........KEEP ON TRUCKIN'

Re: Broken heart

I know exactly how you feel. I sold my big block, short box, ,72 cheyenne super a year ago. I owned it for 12 years. I dated my wife in it and it took us many places.

To help mend the wounds I found my Grandpa's '72 cheyenne back in March. It reminds my of when I was a kid riding around with him.

Re: Broken heart

I'm sure it must've been tough. That was a sweet truck.
I was bittersweet about getting rid of my 99 C2500 that I bought brand new. It pains me even more because the truck is less than a mile away from me and I've watched it go to crap right before my very eyes.
However, I'm sure whoever bought yours will take good care of it. They're lucky to get such a nice ride.

Re: Broken heart

Been there, did that, a while back. Darn sucky-economy.

My baby changed hands three times in the next six months after I sold it, & each time it was for more money, so I know I left some $$$ on the table.

Oh well, it was the right thing to do, at the right (necessary) time, and I agreed to the price that was offered to me.

Family needs always come first. Trucks can be replaced, & hopefully, will be.

Re: Broken heart

Hope times get better for you. I understand. I've sold all my "toys" and all of the parts I had saved for MY truck build. I had almost everything I needed (other than the frame, cab, and bed

All great things are transitory...trucks, women, children, life. We have to accept it and enjoy it, as I expect you have.
Here's to your next adventure!

Re: Broken heart

It seems you have joined many people selling their trucks. I may join you in the future if things don't improve.

We have to do what it takes to keep the family ok.

It seems every day I see another 67-72 Chevy/GMC for sale here on CL.

Yep, this is a great site to visit even if you don't have one of these trucks. It will always be on my favorite's list.

Good Luck and take care.
