transmission swap - 3 speed to automatic
i am considering changing from a 3 speed to an automatic. anybody know which transmission would be compatible without having to change the driveshaft? I have a 71 c10 with a 307. would a short tail th350 work? thanks!

yep that would do it but unless you own it then look for the 200r OD trans you'll be much happier

Its a direct bolt in your going to have to put in a switch for the lock up torque converter but thats and easy thing to do..the 700r is a bit longer the way I understand it which means you have to cut the DS
