Pictures of 72 Blazer & 72 Jimmy both from St. Louis.

Does anyone know if Blazers and Jimmys came off the same assembly line or were there two different lines, one for Chevy and one GMC? Both are 72's and are from St. Louis. Blazer vin CKE182S16XXXX and Jimmy vin TKE182S50XXXX. From the numbers I'm guessing that the Blazer is earlier than Jimmy. Does anyone have an ideal when they were built. The truck is a 70 but from the vin it looks like it's a 71! What's up with that? Vin CS1341Z5XXXX. Looks to have been built in (Z) Fremomt Ca. Shouldn't the one before the Z be a 0 for 1970? Help please!

Nice collection. I don't have any info on that, I just wanted to comment on the trucks. I really like the colors too.

One of them is Beautiful, the other would be if it weren't for the grill.

Wow... I had a shortbox Chevy that was a 69 and built in Fremont. It was a local truck here in Paso Robles... so I am familiar with its history. I was told by the local dealer that Chevys and GMC's were built on seperate lines until 73. He should have known, because Pala Euipment was the GMC dealer here back then and he had been with the company for many years. Could there have been a GMC and seperate Chevy assymbly line in Fremont Ca.??

I really like Ochre also. I use to have a 72 Suburban that was Ochre with a White top. I wish I still had it.

No, they are unrestored. I have replaced a few parts on all of them to make them more presentable.
