Underdrive Water Pump Pulley Question
What are the disadvantages or advantanges in using a underdrive water pump pulley? The reason is that I found a nice March aluminium billet 2 groove pulley, but it's a 7" underdrive vs. a regular sized one. Only thing I know, it will turn the water pump slower.

Underdriving the accesorys will increase HP, but it will slow down your water pump which means less cooling.

A Winston Cup team did a little testing on pumps a few years ago and found the best cooling comes from turning the pump faster.............ie:increasing flow.
