The Dynomax headers mentioned above will not work on a 4 speed, I just found out the hard way this weekend. I wish they would fit, I would love to swap you for those manifolds.....

I have Heddman Hedders on a crate 350 in my '71 GMC Jimmy, w/SM465.
The Heddmans fit OK, but are a little close around the starter. To replace it, you have to pull the Pass side hedder. I had to reconfigure the Z/bar on the driver's side to clear the collector down tubes, but that might have been due to the different throw-out geometry for a Centerforce II clutch. I was on a budget at the time I got this truck back on the road and the Heddman's were on sale. It's been a daily driver for 4 years.

I read somewhere that the tri-ys from doug Thourley (sp) fit around the z-bar and were made for our trucks. Pricey though close to $400.

I went with the Ceramic Coated Hedman. It is the only one that fit on my truck. Had to have Summit order them special. I tried the Elite set from Hedman but they would not clear the linkage on the 4x4 4speed 350
