'07-'11 Tailgate problems
Hey guys,
Just wondering for the few of you that have one of these new GM trucks if you have problems keeping your tailgate closed? I have owned other GM trucks through the years and never had this problem. Once you open the gate you have to shut it a bunch of times to get it to latch and then sometimes going down the road it will just fall open. Any one experiencing this? I can't be the only one. Maybe I'm due for a new one. I bought this '07 in July of '07 brand new and it now has 84,000+ miles on it. Thanks, Jon

Re: '07-'11 Tailgate problems
Have you tried a bit of lube for the latches and linkage? If that doesn't do it maybe some adjustment is needed.

Uhm, no, your latches need to be adjusted.

I haven't seen it wiher. Definitely try lubing the latches first, then maybe striker adjustment.
