94-96 Impala/Caprice disc brake rearend questions

Does anyone know the length of the Impala/caprice 9C1 disc brake rearends? Diamater of the axle tubes?

Just thinking if its the same or a little narrower It might be cheaper to just swap a complete rearend instead of buying conversion axles and disc brakes for my 1968 housing.

Re: 94-96 Impala/Caprice disc brake rearend questions

93-96 sedan
1566mm - narrow (9C1 - disc & drum & some other drum applications)
1598mm - wide (Impala SS - disc & B4U - drum)

I am looking to run the wide.

<edit> Not sure of the axle tubes, but you'll have to do perches anyway.

Thanks. Do you know where those dimensions are pulled from? outside to outside of backing plates? or?

It will be welding to a SD super lift wishbone setup, so I need to determin if I need to have SD make me a new set of axle mounts or if the ones I have will work.
