ID Woodgrain "chevrolet" tailgate band

ok, i believe that the letters are metal. The rivet part that sticks out the back is metal. I assume it would be plastic if the letters were plastic. The letters will shine up really nice with a little steel wool.

Can the letters be swapped out and put in a different band? Just wondering cause my current tailgate band is nice but the letters are plastic and I want to upgrade. Thanks
