Here is what I would advise. BEFORE you touch a new fender, find out the cost of repairing yours, whether you do it or have it done.
Before you do anything to a new fender, verify it will fit your project completely, then have it painted. remember, even new fenders will need some body work. I think Goldmark's sheet metal is the better option, I could be wrong but I think they are the better. Call your selected vendor and ask who makes the sheet metal they are selling, they should tell you, if not, dont buy from them.
