64-66 Blinker Switch, Come complete?

My steering wheel horn/column didn't have parts installed. so not sure what's missing. Hard to tell what comes with the switch from any of the websites who sell. I assume all I need is the switch? Like this one?

put a pic of what you got, the three items shown will be needed, if your i=using original wheel.

there not that bad to replace you need a steering wheel puller. a small punch to knock out the doll pin from the column shifter pull the lever out with the spring and the clip. you need a screw driver pillpes 3 long screws you need a 1/4 socket for the shield there just below the column shifter.Lightly pull on both peace.Remember to unplug the connectors under the dash they only go on one way. and pull both peace clear of the column and its self explicitness.the place i like buying it.cus they make the best one so far is at

One other thing you might want to do as well on your steering column is to cut the steering Bar and use the later modal slip joint cus you ever have a front in crash that thing is like a Speer it will KILL YOU.

Now some of the guys i help and they help me they tell me they stated using the 1967--68 steering columns they still use the same emergency Brake handle and the steering column is the same size But comes with the better turn single switch witch you can adapted it into the 1964--66 wire harness.

One last thing or 2 last things Look and see if your lower bearing needs to be replaced #2 your cab mounts you really should change them it will help you re-aline your steering column cus as you have it now if your cab bushing are sagging its putting really bad force on your bottom steering bearing and that's what makes your steering column lose

Thanks, all. The shop manual seems to be lacking in the details of the blinker switch . . . I have ordered a switch assy from truck shop, will see what it includes. Looks like there's the switch assy, cancel cam and upper bearing that comes with it. Here's what I have now, parts on the floor, nothing yet on the column on the truck, and a pic of the steering wheel I plan to use. I forgot what year it came off of.

The one I bought from Classic Parts had the turn signal switch and the upper column bearing, but that is it.

Got a switch from Classic. It has the cancel cam and switch. And no screw to hold the blinker stem, re-use the old one. I have a good cancel gadget bolted on the steering wheel that works.
Installed but something's wrong with the horn hook-up, as soon I connect the horn starts blowing, so off chasing something else . . . even with the steering wheel removed, it honks . . .

You need to seat the bearing in the center of the switch. There is a spring that goes under the wheel to keep the load in this bearing. The spring also pushes the bearing and the brass washer that is on top of it down and away from the horn ring. If you push it down with a screw driver it will clear the horn ring and the problem you have will go away.

Thx, if I understand you correctly, the spring keeps pressure on the steering shaft bearing, holding it in place once the steering wheel is installed? And you are suggesting that the bearing may be in contact with the brass horn contact, causing the horn to blow all the time?

Like I said, I started with nothing installed, and no spring found in all the parts I have. And haven't seen a spring in any shop manual photos, but it does makes sense that the bearing may not be retained without such a spring . . . Got a picture of it?

BTW, I pulled off the blinker switch and I had pinched the black horn wire and that's what was causing the problem. Reassembled, and all is working now. Ya-hoo!
