Vibration
I have a vibration between 45-60 mph. It kind of feels like the engine sputtering, but if I depress the clutch it is still there. I just rotated & balanced the tires thinking that must be the problem, but it didn't help. What else should I look at? The only thing else I can think of is the driveshaft. Any other possibilities would be appreciated.

ujoints on the drive shaft will vibrate a loose or broken tranny or engine mount will also vibrate cracked brake drums bad wheel bearings as well as loose harmonic balancer and flywheels also can cause vibrations

Sounds like it might be one or more of the U-joints, since they are most noticeable at certain speeds. Also check the center support (carrier) bearing. The "engine sputtering" description has me somewhat puzzled, though. Good luck!

If with the clutch depressed you still get the vibration, focus on running drivetrain ---balanced tires? Did they check the wheels for bent? Did they check the tires for out of round?
Balancing will not pick up on a bent wheel or bad tire unless they look for it. Additional thoughts----drive shaft bent, universal joints, center support bearing, transmission mounts, shocks, front suspension. Good luck |
