I bought the $300, 50lb kit from AutoLoc for my '93.
What a piece of crap that kit was. The passenger side relay burned up after 10 uses. The driver's side solenoid fried after 3 months, while the passenger side solenoid made it for 5 months. I bought 2 replacement 45lb solenoids from Summit and was amazed to see that the armatures on the Summit "45lb" solenoids were 1/2 again the size of the "50lb" AutoLoc's; I even had to enlarge the autoloc mounting brackets to fit the Summit solenoids. The Summits are stronger and 1/3 the price. If I had to do it over again, I'd get the 45lb VPA kit from Summit. That's what I'm going to use on my '68.
