Question Compatible Frames/Suspensions

Is there any more modern (80s-90s) frames/suspensions that will fit in a 69-72 blazer? Minor modifications are not an issue. I have a 72 long-bed all original, and it gets a bit dicey when driving in traffic (considering the way other people drive). Basically, I want my blazer to be a daily driver, and as safe as possible while keeping the vintage look inside, outside, under the hood, just not underneath.
